England have just retained the Ashes, and, low and behold, a new cricket game has been announced. Don Bradman Cricket 14 is due to be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC later this year, and is being made by Big Ant Studios, the Australian developer behind the Rugby League Live games.
“It is indeed an honour to be able to bring the greatest player to a technology savvy generation of fans in what promises to be the greatest cricket game of all time,” said Sebastian Giompaolo, the MD of HES. “Big Ant Studios have been working hard on this title for four years and we at HES are really excited with what they have been able to achieve. It is far superior to any cricket game in the market.”
The game, under license with the Bradman Foundation, has been in development for four years. Sir Donald Bradman was one of the sport’s all-time great batsman with a test batting average of 99.94. The game boasts a full career mode, allowing you to rise from young cricket starlet to test match hero, dynamic weather conditions, dynamic time of day, an online save system that lets you continue your match whenever you want with online opponents and even the ability to appeal decisions.
