Take-Two has not disclosed how many copies of GTA V has been sold-through to consumers to date or how sales break down between Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Still, GTAV is now expected to be the best-selling Xbox 360 or PS3 game to date.

Regarding Grand Theft Auto Online specifically, Take-Two said that 70 percent of GTAV players who have connected to Internet have played GTA Online. The company said GTA Online helped Take-Two digital revenue post “strong growth,” but the company did not say how many players have spent real-world money on the game.

During a post-earnings financial call, Take-Two management addressed the possibility of GTAV coming to PC. President Karl Slatoff said, “At this point there’s really nothing for us to say about that.” CEO Strauss Zelnick chimed in, saying Take-Two will leave it to Rockstar to make announcements regarding new platforms for the game.

Slatoff added that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV was a strong performer.

Overall, Take-Two posted revenue of $767.7 million for the quarter, up from $405 million last year. The company hauled a profit of $210.7 million, compared to $78.8 million during the same quarter last year. As of December 31, Take-Two had cash and equivalents of $972.2 million.

The largest contributors to Take-Two’s bottom line during the quarter were GTAV, NBA 2K14, and WWE 2K14, the publisher said. Digitally delivered content was also on the rise, jumping 42 percent year-over-year to $132.8 million, led by the Grand Theft Auto and NBA 2K games, as well as Borderlands 2 and BioShock Infinite.

Catalog sales of Take-Two games made up $113 million of net revenue, driven by Borderlands 2, BioShock Infinite, Civilization V, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and the GTA series.

Take-Two also announced today that Borderlands 2 has shipped 8.5 million copies to date, becoming the best-selling game in 2K Games history. In addition, the company said that NBA 2K14 has shipped 5 million copies and that Rockstar Games titles have now sold more than 250 million copies so far.

Looking ahead, Take-Two said it expects to haul net revenue of $170 million-$200 million for the quarter ending March 31 and full-year revenue of between $2.35 billion and $2.38 billion.
