The PlayStation 4’s 22-strong software launch lineup has expanded. Electronic Arts announced today that Ghost Games’ racing game Need for Speed: Rivals will be available in North America at launch on November 15.
Previously, Need for Speed: Rivals was scheduled to hit PS4 on November 22.
EA community manager Jessica Damerst confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that Need for Speed: Rivals will make use of the PS4’s Share functionality, allowing users to press the button to share gameplay content like images and videos with their friends.
Need for Speed: Rivals on PS4 also supports Remote Play, meaning players can continue their progress from the console version on PlayStation Vita. Sony said last week that Remote Play will work best when used in the same home, on the same WiFi network.
Racing game DriveClub, from Sony-owned Evolution Studios, was previously scheduled as a PS4 launch title, but was delayed last month.
Need for Speed: Rivals is the first project from Ghost Games, based on Gothenburg, Sweden. The game is also coming to Xbox One as a launch title on November 22. The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions will be released on November 19.
