Rockstar has more than trebled the limit on its Social Club crews, allowing for far bigger groups to coordinate their chaos in Grand Theft Auto Online.
1000 people can now unite into a crew, a massive boost over the previous cap of 300. The expanded rosters arrive shortly after Rockstar introduced its beta Crew Head to Head playlists, allowing two clans to set a wager and then battle it out.
Rockstar has also announced that it will be shortly begin a series of livestreamed Crew vs. Crew battles, and is inviting crews to get in touch if they want to take part in the upcoming contests.
“If you would like to be considered for the live stream battles, please get in touch with us at crewchallenges@rockstargames.com telling us your Crew name, a link to your Crew profile page, the specific platform you would like to stream on and a reason why you should feature on the stream,” said Rockstar.
“We may also show preference in selecting your Crew if you have a video that showcases your ability at competitive game modes–and if there’s a specific Crew with whom you have beef you’d like to settle in a public arena,” added the developer.
“If you aren’t picked, then stay out there and keep on truckin’.”
Rockstar parent company Take-Two announced this week that Grand Theft Auto V has now shipped a staggering 32.5 million copies worldwide.
