The Walking Dead: Season Two will kick off on December 17, according to the game’s product page in the Steam database. We’ve reached out to developer Telltale Games to confirm the date.
Telltale Games previously announced that episode one for The Walking Dead: Season Two would be available to download before Christmas (December 25). Subsequent episodes will be available 4-6 weeks apart. Episodes will launch first on PC/Mac, before coming to consoles and iOS later.
In The Walking Dead: Season Two, based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, you play as orphan Clementine. The choices you made during the critically acclaimed first season will carry over to season two.
In season two, as Clementine you’ll struggle against the undead and other characters through chapters that will test your morals, according to Telltale.
Like the first season of The Walking Dead, Season Two will span five episodes released digitally beginning this year and running through 2014. Players can buy all five episodes at once for $22.50, a savings of 10 percent over the cost of purchasing each chapter individually.
More than 21 million episodes of The Walking Dead have been sold so far. The San Rafael, California-based developer is also currently working on The Wolf Among Us, an episodic series based on the Fables comics.
