Some of Rockstar’s future plans for Grand Theft Auto V may have been revealed ahead of time. Audio files extracted from the game’s free Beach Bum update have suggested that a series of new activities may find their way to the open-world game.
Various characters from GTAV’s single-player campaign can be heard in the video (below) speaking about a new casino coming to town, as well as custom car racing and a new indoor off-road racing track. The characters also reference new camera features and missions where you must spy on strangers.
Players can spend real-world money in Grand Theft Auto Online to purchase the GTA$ in-game currency, though it remains to be seen how casino funding may be handled.
None of the activities are officially confirmed so far and it is unclear if they will be limited to GTA Online or GTAV’s single-player mode. The Beach Bum expansion added new content for both modes.
Earlier this month, Rockstar teased an “exciting” reveal for GTAV’s single-player campaign, saying the news would be announced “very soon.” No new single-player content for GTAV has been announced to date. Predecessor Grand Theft Auto IV welcomed two post-release expansions: The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
